| In Matthew 22:36-39 we learn that LOVE is the greatest of all things. "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself."
And 1 John 2:7-11 tell us that: "...This commandment--to love one another--is the same message you heard before. Yet it is also new. This commandment is true in Christ and is true among you, because the darkness is disappearing and the true light is already shining. If anyone says, "I am living in the light," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is still living in darkness. Anyone who loves other Christians is living in the light and does not cause anyone to stumble. Anyone who hates a Christian brother or sister is living and walking in darkness. Such a person is lost, having been blinded by the darkness."
I need to get back into loving people, no matter what. Not only does God want us to love each other, he requires it for passage into the kingdom of heaven. Love one another. It shouldn't be so hard.
Why then, am I somtimes filled with so much hate? Resentment, Jealousy, Anger, Spite, all these things. These are not Godly emotions, they are from satan.
How do I change? Much prayer, get back into the word...
I'm not sure where I'm going with this exactly, but I'll get to it. I assure you I will.
